Battery Test Engineer (f/m/x)

Your job site and team
Around the family-friendly economic region of Heilbronn, not only a lot of nature, diverse cultural and leisure activities await you, but also our state-of-the-art battery test facilities in Bad Friedrichshall and Weihenbronn.

As a member of our Testing Department there, you will ensure efficient testing operations and test the battery systems of the future. You can look forward to a steep learning curve, a state-of-the-art test environment and fascinating projects!


Here’s where you’ll make an impact

  • As a test engineer, you design and plan tests from the customer request to the final test report and carry them out.
  • You test battery modules and high-voltage battery systems according to system requirements and national and international automotive standards (e.g. LV123, LV124, ECE-R100 and others).
  • Holistically, you are responsible for the test operation and for the execution of single tests and complete test sequences including documentation and creation of optimisation measures.
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for the operation and design of residual bus simulations and for programming module and HV test benches and automation systems.
  • Independently, you carry out typical design verification and product validation tests as part of the product development process and work closely with the international system development departments.


This is your basic equipment

  • Completed technical studies in the field of electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in testing of high-voltage storage systems, long experience in working with vector tools, Matlab, ideally experience of AVL software (Lynx or Puma)
  • Knowledge of experimental and testing methods, certificate as an electrician for work under HV-voltage, very good knowledge of MS Office, English and German - both fluent in speaking and writing
  • Interested in new technologies, independent and structured way of working, experience in working with various data acquisition and evaluation tools, quality awareness as well as analytical and solution-oriented thinking and acting
