Summer Trainee, Advanced Engineering

Are you curious about hands‐on testing, exploring new concepts, and 3D printing? Would you be our new Trainee in the Advanced Engineering team? 

Our Advanced Engineering team focuses on researching new materials, production methods, and emerging technologies that support future manufacturing. If you’re excited by hands‑on testing, exploring new concepts, and digging into technical research, this role could be perfect for you. 

 

 

Your summer with us will include 

  • Supporting research on production materials, including gathering data, conducting small tests, and comparing material properties. 

  • Participating in 3D printing research by preparing print trials, analyzing results, and documenting findings. 

  • Assisting in materials technology and composites studies through sample preparation, basic testing, and reporting. 

  • Conducting equipment mapping to research device capabilities, evaluate improvement needs, and collect technical information. 

  • Compiling research results into clear documentation to support engineering decision making. 

  • Collaborating with engineers and project teams to gather insights and contribute to ongoing development studies. 

 

 

We hope that you 

  • Are in the later stages of your studies in materials science, mechanical engineering, production engineering, or another technical field. 

  • Are curious and enjoy investigative work, experiments, and technical problem‑solving. 

  • Feel comfortable handling data, documenting results, and approaching tasks analytically. 

  • Communicate fluently in English and Finnish. 

  • Are proactive and enjoy both independent research and teamwork. 

 

 

Location & Trainee Period

The job is located in Uusikaupunki and requires regular presence there, but you will also have possibility to work at our office in DataCity, Turku. We also offer flexible remote work possibilities.  

The trainee period runs May–August.
