In our new Electric Vehicle Systems (EVS) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
Here’s where you’ll make an impact:
As a Specialist, LCM you are accountable for coordinating and managing change activities during products’ lifecycle phases. All documents, specifications, drawings and 3D models connected to BOM (bill of material) are in the Specialist’s responsibility area and securing that all data is up to current date and shared internally to all departments connected to Change Management Process and requiring these information to do their work.
LCM Specialist’s responsibility area also consists of the change request process and the implementation of the accepted changes to production. Change Request Process is one of the high impact tasks where all effects and exact cost estimates from the coming / required changes are gathered from all internal department experts and then forwarded to sales for quotations to customers. So Specialist acts in this CR Process the responsible person to arrange meetings, communicate change details and share all connected documents and make sure all experts are giving their input to change impacts and costs to used system. The actual change implementation is also in the responsibility area of Specialist and so to provide the most exact timeline for the change together with internal operation experts.
LCM covers the end products complete life cycle and all the changes included to the product components during this time. You will also participate project work as a Change Management representative and to improve the processes used. Majority of work includes close collaboration with internal and external customers.
The work location will be at Uusikaupunki plant.
Main Accountabilities
- Creating, updating, and maintaining technical product documentation
- Managing the change request process and implementation on site
- Reporting change readiness to customers in agreed timeline for coming changes in collaboration with Sales & Marketing
- Handling Change Order / implementation process so that this is done in lean manner and without production losses and minimizing all possible surplus
- Arranging internal CR and CO meetings with all operations related to Change Management process
- Arranging support from customers side in problem situations regarding the products
- Participate to project phase to secure Change Management process
- Collaborating with internal operations and supporting in any product related topics
- Reporting internally and externally in product related topics
- Developing constantly the Change Management process to all customers’ needs and internally as uniform as possible
We hope that you would have:
- Masters’ degree or other similar degree in the field of business, logistics, information technology, technical
- Independent decision making under pressure
- Excellent interaction, presentation, and documentation skills
- Analytical, systematic, and solution-oriented approach
- Assertive attitude and capability to challenge the given feedback and assumptions
- Experience with creation and structures of BoM (Build of Materials)
- Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English is required
