In our new Electric Vehicle Systems business line we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

Here’s where you’ll make an impact:

In the role of Senior Electronics specialist, you will have a key position in research and development of electronics solutions for usage in various types of battery systems. You’ll apply your knowledge in embedded electronics and power electronics to execute technology development tasks assigned to the internal development pipeline. Additionally, you will be responsible for drafting electronics concept designs in pre-development project. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to present your innovative ideas to support technology road map planning.

We hope that you would have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in engineering or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience of schematic and layout design with CAE tools
• Knowledge / experience of embedded systems with analog and digital circuits
• Knowledge / experience of power electronics and thermal management of electronics
• Knowledge / experience of design for EMC
• Understanding of li-ion batteries and battery management systems is considered as an asset
• Analytical, detailed and logical way of working
• Good co-operative skills and can-do attitude
• Fluent written and spoken English
