We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join Valmet Automotive's Finance team.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad accounting and reporting role in an international environment. You will have a key role in ensuring reliable financial information while helping us improve finance processes and ways of working.
You will be part of a collaborative Finance team where responsibilities span financial accounting, tax reporting, finance processes, and reporting activities. The role gives you the opportunity to broaden your expertise, understand finance activities across the organization, and expand your responsibilities over time.
Your role
In this position, your primary focus will be on ensuring high-quality accounting and statutory reporting for Valmet Automotive Oyj.
Your responsibilities will include:
- General ledger accounting and account reconciliations
- Monthly and year-end financial closings and financial statement preparation (FAS)
- Participate in IFRS reporting to support group reporting requirements
- Fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting
- VAT, taxation, statutory and authority reporting
- Develop accounting, reporting and internal control processes and maintain related documentation
What you bring?
You are a proactive and dependable finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, finding practical solutions, and working flexibly as part of a small team.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
- A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Solid experience in accounting and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS)
- Good knowledge of taxation, VAT and fixed asset accounting
- Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills
- Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English
- Knowledge of IFRS and group finance processes is considered an advantage
