Battery Requirements Engineer (m/f/d); Munich; Germany

In our new Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

 

Your challenge

  • Responsible requirements engineer for battery projects
  • Accountable for the management and the documentation of the system requirement specification (SRS)
  • Assurance of vertical and horizontal tracability and provision of metrics
  • Responsible for decisions on engineering level to internal and external stakeholders and internal release recommendations to middle and senior management
  • Manage, allocate, and maintain requirements to the system level responsibles for requirements engineering during the product lifecycle (changes, update of norms and standards)
  • Create, maintain and report the requirement metrics to the projects
  • Plan and moderate the regular requirement reviews with the relevant requirement engineers
  • Create tool architecture and provide trainings to internal stakeholders
  • Support and assure the correct formulation of the requirements (syntax & semantic)
  • Document ownership of system requirement specification (SRS)

 

We expect you to have/are

  • Masters degree in electrical engineering, information technology, physics or comparable
  • Experience with requirements management software (i.e. Polarion, DOORS)
  • Knowledge of all relevant battery system components
  • Knowledge and experience of TIER1 or OEM product development processes based on V-model
  • Experience of programming and automation within requirements management software (i.e. Python; Java)
  • IREB Certificates or comparable
  • Fluent English & German communication skills
