Engineer HV Safety Battery Systems (m/f/d); Munich; Germany

In our new Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

 

Your challenge

  • Specification of “high voltage safety” related requirements in Polarion (e.g. clearance and creepage distances, equipotential bonding, focused on LV-123 etc.)
  • Definition of Test and Verification extent derived from high voltage safety requirements
  • Documentation of high voltage safety requirements within the scope of design evidence
  • Analysis and coordination of requirements in alignment with EE, Testing, System and SW-development team
  • Support and active involvement within the scope of safety related analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA) on system and component level
  • Tracking of realization of high voltage safety concepts
  • Responsible for HV system and components in general
  • Requirements compliance, HV components selection and sizing, electrical safety e.g. creepage and clearance distances
  • Analysis and evaluation of HV-safety related requirements and derivation of system design measures in close collaboration with corresponding domains
  • Alignment of HV safety concepts (customer and internal) preparation of technical customer presentations

 

Your profile

  • Strong high voltage system experience
  • Strong design experience of HV systems
  • Strong understanding of EE and HV requirements (e.g. LV123, VW80300 and other.)
  • Good understanding of Project management, Functional safety (ISO 26262), CAD tools e.g. Catia, Familiar with Aspice processes
  • Leading and intelligent delegating capability
  • Strong personal responsibility
  • Very good communication skills with customer, supplier and internal stake holders
  • Ability for fast and efficient issue management
  • English and German, both fluent in speaking and writing
