Working Student (f/m/x) Materials Analysis

In Bad Friedrichshall near Heilbronn; Germany

Your job site and team:

Located in the family-friendly economic region of Heilbronn, surrounded by nature beauty spots, you’ll find the perfect place to live and work. Various cultural and leisure activities await you after work at our state-of-the-art 5,000 square meter Battery Test Center.

As a member of our Battery Systems Engineering Department, you’ll help to develop the battery systems of the future. You can look forward to a steep learning curve, a state-of-the-art test environment and fascinating projects.

Here’s where you’ll make an impact:

  • You’ll carry out microscopic/metallographic analysis and document the results according to the defined standards.
  • Additionally, you’ll analyze the material properties of battery component before and after testing.
  • Moreover, you’ll support the creation and root cause analysis of the defects, which have occurred after testing HV battery systems. 
  • Lastly, you’ll support in the creation of test reports as well as the analysis of the content.

This is your basic equipment:

  •  Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar  
  • Good communication skills as well as highly motivated to proactively tackle new topics
  • First knowledge about batteries and/or electrical components as well as experience with materials science and digital microscopes would be an asset
  • Your English: Off the charts! Your German: Ebenfalls prima! Other strong points of yours: team spirit, the joy of discovering new things, and your personal success formula ”change = chance”.
