In our new Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.


Your challenge

You will be part of the PMO Team in the Program Management Department. First, you will take operational responsibility in one or more projects. You will work at eye level as the right hand of the project manager and support him as well as take full responsibility for various tasks in the project. On the other hand, you bring the experience from the projects into the creation and optimization of the existing processes of the PMO and thus make a major contribution to the continuous improvement of our process landscape. Main tasks among others:


  • Coordinate cross-functional battery projects as a member of the project core team
  • Organization of steering group and core team meetings (meeting, agenda, minutes, transfer of items to LOP)
  • Creation and updating of the master schedule with all stakeholders
  • Tasks tracking via the LoP
  • Various other tasks from project management such as lessons learned and risk management
  • Definition, implementation and improvement our project management standards (processes & tools)


We expect you to have/are

  • B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Economics
  • Proven track record of project management experience preferably in the automotive industry (more than 2 years)
  • Very good knowledge of project management processes and tools
  • Strong analytical & structural skills to turn unclear situations into a well-structured and prioritized list of actions
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships in an international work environment
  • Very good communication skills as well as intercultural competence and awareness
  • Willingness to travel
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic and flexible approach
  • Fluent English and German language skills
