Direct Category Management Lead (f/m/x) Battery Cells

As a member of our Purchasing Department, you’ll operate with perfectly coordinated supply chains and the latest innovations in the automotive industry. Always at your side: a well-matched team, working together all across Europe.

Here’s where you’ll make an impact:

  • You’ll skillfully create and implement sourcing strategy of the battery cell category, by leading cross functional teams across all plants and projects.
  • Additionally, you’ll ensure a competitive supplier portfolio to fulfill business needs in terms of technology, quality, cost competitiveness, supply, environmental and ethical capabilities.
  • Moreover, you’ll make sure that materials and services are planned and available for key stakeholders, including manufacturing and operations, in order to fulfill set business targets.
  • Last but not least , you’ll take care of the Total Cost Of Ownership (TCO) of the category you lead and manage RFI/RFQ process for your areas.

This is your basic equipment:

  • University degree in business administration or engineering or equivalent experience, in combination with relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience of successful negotiations in large volume and complex business agreements as well as knowledgeable in financials and cost structures with a strong focus on strategic supplier portfolio management and supplier management
  • Previous experience and knowledge of battery cell/pack technology, market, chemistry, active materials and main cost drivers
  • Your English: Off the charts! Your German: Ebenfalls prima! In addition, you keep cool even when things get hot, and are curious to learn new things. Your formula for success: change = chance.
