We are now looking for eager Summer Trainees to join our team. As a Summer Trainee, you can kick-start your career with gaining hands-on experience and be a part in shaping the future of battery technology. 

Would you like to be a new member of the Sustainability team?

IONCOR’s sustainability team is responsible for the implementation of the company’s sustainability strategy. IONCOR’s sustainability strategy is built on four pillars: Future-proof batteries, Low-carbon European manufacturing, Fair & secure value chains and People & Society. 

This traineeship will provide IONCOR assistance implementing this strategy, specifically supporting our battery passport piloting & readiness and other tasks to support sustainability team during the vacation period. For the trainee, it will provide an opportunity to develop skills working in a corporate sustainability setting, as well as building their knowledge and network within a growing, Finnish technology company. 

Key tasks include:

• Collecting and analysing Battery Passport reporting data
• Assembling sustainability training material
• Analysing data related to our emission reduction targets
• Assist with updating policies and documents related to sustainability

The location of this traineeship is in Turku. A hybrid working model is possible, to be agreed depending on the tasks. 

We hope you have:

• Ongoing studies in or a degree in Engineering, Business, or Sustainability studies. Our preference would be a student in their ultimate or pen-ultimate year of studies. 
• Strong spoken and written English is required. Finnish and/or German language is seen a plus. 
• Interest in hands-on data analysis, corporate sustainability, battery industry & technology, EU sustainability agenda 
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office, Power-BI, life-cycle carbon accounting 
• Collaborative teamwork and robust communication skills required. 
• A positive, proactive and curious mindset – we value enthusiasm & willingness to learn over prior experience
