Summer Trainee, Laboratory

We are now looking for eager Summer Trainees to join our team. As a Summer Trainee, you can kick-start your career with gaining hands-on experience and be a part in shaping the future of battery technology.

Would you like to be a new member of the Laboratory team?

Our laboratory at IONCOR Salo factory is an industrial laboratory focusing on dimensional, electrical and material testing. Our Laboratory team is responsible of quality assurance measurements and measurement management in Salo factory. We ensure that measurement equipment and methods are according to standard requirements, monitor product quality by performing analyses, and support product development activities. Our team consists of operators in charge of daily analysis work, and engineers responsible of specific measurement methods and development.

As a Summer Trainee, you will assist laboratory engineers in laboratory development tasks, e.g., upkeep of work instructions and other laboratory documentation, and testing and analysis of measurement systems. You will also support the laboratory operators in analysis work when needed, ensuring that work is performed and documented in agreed schedule according to both customer and standard requirements.

The location of this traineeship is in Salo, Finland. Remote workdays are occasionally possible, depending on the tasks.

We hope you have:

• Ongoing bachelor's or master's studies in natural sciences or engineering
• Work experience in a laboratory environment
• Understanding of quality system requirements and quality assurance
• Ability to lead your own work
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn from both theory and hands-on work
• Good spoken English and ability to write technical documentation in English is required. Finnish language is seen a plus.
