Summer Trainee, HSE

Would you like to be a new member of the Health, Safety & Environment -team?

 

As the HSE Summer Trainee, you will have a lot of variety in your day-to-day work. You will support our HSEQ Engineers in the Salo plant with tasks related to occupational safety and environmental management.

 

Your tasks include:

  • supporting in risk assessments and measurement (noise, other workplace exposures)
  • hosting and reporting safety walks
  • drawing and updating instructions
  • investigating accidents
  • participating in various development projects
  • providing safety trainings for own personnel and external visitors.

 

In this role you will closely work together with different departments to ensure implementation of HSE processes and effective reporting. You will also participate in execution and tracking of corrective actions implementation. Besides the mentioned tasks, you will also have a good chance to gain experience in battery safety and manufacturing rescue practices.

 

This position is an exciting learning opportunity for a motivated student to learn more about a company’s HSE practices and assist our HSE team in the day-to-day tasks.

 

The location of this traineeship is our Salo plant. Work is mainly done on-site, flexible working hours are possible.

We hope you have:

 

  • Ongoing higher education studies or recent degree in environmental or safety engineering or applicable field in HSE
  • Understanding of national HSE regulatory
  • A mindset for problem solving and the ability to see the big picture
  • The ability to prioritize and change focus if necessary
  • Motivation for continuous learning and personal development
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required, Finnish is preferred
